So, I'm pregnant
I've been waiting to post about this since we were holding off as long as possible to tell people. Who knows who all is browsing out there in cyber space? Yep. As of today, I am 10 weeks. Weird. It's still very surreal. I mean, I went to the doctor for the first time and I am still feeling really sleepy and the on/off nausea is awfully fun. But, I still just feel weird. We go back to the doctor next Tuesday for the first ultrasound. Maybe when I hear the heartbeat, it will seem more like a reality. People keep asking me if I am excited and I am honestly telling them that right now, I am more nervous than excited. I mean, it's still in the risky first trimester and what if I have some sort of freaky-deaky unknown disease? I told Steve that once a medical professional tells me that "After all your tests, everything has come back fine" then I'll be ok.
So far, I haven't really started showing. I mean, my boobs are about a size bigger and I just look and feel kind of bloated. That whole "eating for 2" thing is not currently applying to me since I tend to feel horrible if I overeat. It sucked at Christmas because as much as I wanted seconds at the big meals, I couldn't because I knew I'd really regret it later. I guess that was better for the waistline, though. I haven't been as faithful going to the gym here in the last couple of weeks. But, once my schedule gets worked out with rehearsals and stuff, I'll get back in the groove. I think I'm going tomorrow as a matter of fact. I'll go grocery shopping on Friday morning or afternoon.
Thankfully, my boss gave me a substantial Christmas bonus/gift. So, that's going to cover most of my maternity wardrobe when I need it. That takes a load off my mind.
Got my Ipod Photo for Christmas. It's all I can do to not sleep with it in the bed like Ralphie in "A Christmas Story" with his Red Rider BB Gun. I love it. I've already loaded almost 400 songs on it and bought the car kit to listen to it while I drive. I keep saying I'm going to wait until my birthday to buy the desk docking kit, but I may not make it that long.
